Discs
Checked for thickness, lipping, scoring and warping. Discs do not always need doing at the same time as pads, and we will say so if they do not.
Calipers, hoses and pipes
Sticking calipers and perished hoses are what turn a cheap job into an expensive one if they are missed.
Brake fluid
Fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point and softens the pedal. Manufacturers generally set a time based interval for it. We will tell you what yours says.

How long do brake pads last?
It depends entirely on how and where you drive. Town driving eats pads far faster than motorway miles. That is why we measure rather than work off mileage.
Do discs always have to be changed with the pads?
No. If the discs are within tolerance and not lipped or warped, they stay. We will show you the measurement either way.
Can you do it the same day?
Most brake work is done the same day. We will confirm when you book rather than promise it blind.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. 12 months or 12,000 miles on parts and labour, whichever comes first.
